Vestas Secures 203MW Order for Unnamed US Wind Project
Vestas, a leading wind turbine manufacturer, has secured a significant order for a 203MW wind project in the United States. The order encompasses 45 V163-4.5MW wind turbines and includes the entire process from supply and delivery to commissioning. Additionally, a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement has been established to ensure optimal performance throughout the asset's lifecycle.
Turbine delivery is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024, with commissioning expected in the first quarter of 2025. This order closely follows Vestas' recent 270MW order for another undisclosed wind project in the US, owned by a subsidiary of ENGIE North America. The previous order involved 60 V163-4.5MW wind turbines.
Vestas, with a global presence and a track record of installing more than 173 GW of wind turbines in 88 countries, continues to play a significant role in advancing renewable energy initiatives worldwide. The company's commitment to providing reliable wind power solutions underscores its position as a leading player in the renewable energy sector.
